Suspension Technology

Damping Systems

Compression and rebound are designed for defined force targets. High-speed and low-speed ranges are separated and tuned independently.

Force ranges from 500 N to 6000 N at velocities of 1 m/s to 3 m/s are calculated and validated on the dyno.

Valve Architecture

Shim stack configurations, spool concepts, and valve sizing define damping behavior. The premium line uses licensed SPV valve technology.

Every valve design is based on defined flow targets and pressure profiles — not trial and error.

Tuning & Optimization

Every suspension is tuned specifically for its motorcycle model. Parameters are changed in a controlled manner and evaluated through measurement.

Cavitation, delays, nonlinearities, and inefficiencies are identified and systematically eliminated.

SPV Technology

Speed-Sensitive. Automatic.

What is SPV?

SPV (Speed-sensitive Piston Valve) is a valve technology developed in Germany by Mototech Suspension. It automatically adjusts damping based on the speed of piston movement.

During slow movements (cornering, braking) damping stays firm. During fast impacts (potholes, sharp edges) the valve opens and lets the wheel work.

Why SPV?

Conventional shim stack dampers are always a compromise: soft enough for comfort or firm enough for control. SPV resolves this conflict.

The result: better ground contact, more stability, and less rider fatigue — without manual adjustment.

The License

DR | BRAUN licenses SPV technology for its premium line. Our personal relationship with the developer ensures technical depth and direct collaboration.

The SPV line complements the core brand. A customer who does not need SPV still gets a very good suspension.
